About Environmental Pest Management

Pest ControlOur company began service on November 10th of 1986 in Rochester Minnesota and today, 10 full routes, service east central Minnesota including the greater 10 county metro area of the Twin Cities and surrounding suburbs. We also service a number of communities in Western Wisconsin. We provide a variety of pest control services from the elimination of rodents to the treatment of the vast variety of insects that infest homes and structures.

Beginning as “AAA Pest Control” we soon changed our name in 1987 to “Bug Busters” after the popular movie Ghostbusters. Since then we have moved on to a name that more correctly defines our mission and more correctly describes what we do as a company. “Environmental Pest Management Systems” became our name and our logo changed in 1995.

What Does "Environmental" Mean?

BeesThis is a question we often get asked and the answer is actually in two parts:

Environmental means we will do everything we can to choose and use the most environmentally safe product for both our customers immediate home environment and also the greater environment we call Earth. We often have the choice of using non-chemical means to solve a problem as opposed to applying a pesticide (This is called Integrated Pest Management or IPM). We will choose the nonchemical means as often as possible, often finding we can solve the problem longer and better than by use of pesticide. We see ourselves as consultants more often than applicators.

Environmental also refers to our ability to select a process and find a solution to the pest problem in all environments. We find ourselves in environments from hospitals to factories to restaurants to homes. All of these require our care in selecting the “best” system to use.

Member of National & State Associations

Our commitment to excellence is based on our ability and willingness to learn and to change. We are affiliated with the National Pest Management Association and the Minnesota Pest Management Association, allowing access to some of the best and brightest minds in the industry. We have access to the latest developments in treatment of pests and problem solving.

Master Licensed Technicians

It takes years of hard work and effort to progress from a Journeyman to a Master in this industry. We consider it a requirement in our company, asking our staff to make this important step in expanding their knowledge and level of competence when they have the required 2 years of Journeyman experience.

Dedications

We are dedicated to solving problems safely, long term and at the most reasonable price. EPM employees will treat your problem with individual attention and solve it in the safest, most efficient way possible with the longest term results.

Some species demand more aggressive attention and some are simply occasional invaders coming in out of the elements. Solving the problem by identifying the SOURCE, is the answer. We need to ask and answer the questions of WHAT, WHY, HOW, AND WHEN to successfully get to the solution.
